RFDS Gala Dinner 2014

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) provides a service like no other. They deliver vital 24 hour emergency cover, and clinical and preventative health services across 90% of Australia’s land mass to almost 300,000 rural and remote patients per year.

Operating continuously since 1928, the doctors and nurses of the RFDS work from 21 bases across Australia utilising a fleet of 61 fully instrumented aircraft. Fundraising is vital to the RFDS and so, working with the Friends in the UK division of the RFDS, Felix&Friends developed branding and communications for the Gala Dinner Event in November 2014.

Whilst their work on the ground may not be glamorous, the history and heritage of the service and what it delivers gives it enormous prestige to the organization so the creative had to deliver against both aspects. We created a visual stylethat communicates the legacy of the brand in a contemporary context, highlighting the invaluable work the service performs.

The event was a huge success, with the great and the good from Australian Society in London wined, dined and entertained resulting in over £100,000 being raised.
